The Community Foundation has shifted its focus to grant making to provide support to single moms experiencing difficulties during the covid-19 pandemic. These grants are designed to address the evolving needs of single moms economically impacted by the pandemic. They include:

Adelante Alabama Worker Center

This grant is specifically designed for distressed single mom workers affected by the pandemic and it offers up to $25,000 to those qualified.

Alabama Head Injury Foundation

This program is designed to provide counseling services in areas of mental health to single moms suffering from a head injury. The program offers up to a $7,000 grant.

Alabama Initiative for Independent Journalism

Organizations qualifying for this grant receive up to $15,000 to address income disparities and health-related issues.

Alabama Sustainable Agriculture Network

ASAN is designed to support single mom, local farmers, in supplying healthy food to Alabama residents during covid-19. It offers up to $25,000.

Alabama Regional Medical Services

The program provides up to $ 25,000 meant to support homeless single moms with no shelter.
